Children: | I have two beautiful children. My son, Frankie Breedlove is a Middle school Teacher in Pinellas County, More…St. Pete, Florida. He teaches 8th grade American History and loves it. He and his wife, Amy, live in Largo, Fl. Amy is an International flight reservationist for Continental Airlines. They are traveling every opportunity they have, and are exploring so many wonderful parts of the world. And sometimes they even invite their Mother to travel with them. It is great! My daughter, Cari Ann Cox Lehigh is a research coordinator at I.U.Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. She works with a group of Neurologist and they have published several articles in the New England Medical Journal. Cari's husband, Keith, works for Indiana University as an internet security specialist. Cari and Keith live in Indianapolis, In. It is wonderful to watch our children following their own dreams. Education is the greatest gift we can give to our children. |

Growing up in a small and safe town was a thing that we all took for granted. Who would understand that thinking today? All our lives are richer from so many of these experiences. Most of the class of 1965 started the first day of school together in September 1953 and graduated in 1965 still all together.
When we celebrated our 40 year reunion in 2005, we decided to get together annually. It has been great to be reacquainted with all these kids with whom we have such great childhood memories.
I believe Bob Goldsberry said it best," If you think about if, we spent more time with these classmates in 12 years than some of us have spent with our mates of our life times."
Being self employed for so many years has had its trials, but mostly it's gifts.
I have been providing skincare services for over 20 years. I partner with Murad skincare products of California for my facial services. Good products make my job easier and my clients happy. I have been doing Permanent hair removal (electrolysis) for over 25 years. To watch a person lose all the mean little hairs from problem areas on their faces or bodies is very rewarding. It is really exciting to see the changes.
I started about 12 years ago doing permanent cosmetics. I do a lot of tattooing for eyeliners, lips and eye brows. It is also satisfying to help a woman who is recovering from breast cancer with tattooing the areola area after reconstruction surgery. It is a pleasure to watch women bloom.
I have a couple of stories to share,
First.... In Mrs Riggins 5th grade class. Being a farm kid, I really enjoyed the social time at school. So, being a talkie kid got me into trouble. Early in our class year, I was apparently creating a contest with Mrs. Riggins. I talked when I should have been listening. Mrs. Riggins slipped up on me (and caught me talking when I should have been listening) and directed me to bring my desk up to sit next to her desk. It scared me to death, but I pushed my desk to the front of the room and next to her desk. And two of the longest weeks of my life were spent sitting along side her desk. Finally, she told me, IF I could go back to my place in the line up of students and not talk, I could take my desk back to my original spot. But, with that came the lecture, stating that "I COULD NOT GO THROUGH LIFE JUST TALKING ANY TIME I WANTED TO TALK". With my job, I in fact do have the opportunity to JUST TALK ALL DAY LONG, EVERY DAY. Every so often I do look up and hopefully she will see me talking my head off every day. Bless her. But, if I hadn't been such a determined child, that lecture could have changed my personality.
Second.... I loved Marjorie Long, I took 2 years of Latin with her. I remember her great enthusiasm for travel. She stood in front of our class and told us all, "That you must see the Roman Ruins". In 2000, the year of the Jubilee, my children and I spent 16 days in Italy. It was wonderful. When we were in Rome we tried to see every ruin we could and I told my children that I had been given that directive when I was in her Latin class well over forty years earlier. She was a terrific influence on many of our lives.

Hope you enjoy a peek at Italy 2000. Rome, the Roman coliseum and forum. Florence, the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio bridge, My children by the bridge. And last, Venice for carnival and gondolas. It was a wonderful trip with my children and to celebrate 2000 years of history and religion.
