Robert Kincaid - Class Of 1947

 Crawfordsville bank president was a native of Thorntown.
 
Robert F. Kincaid, president and chief operating officer of the First National Bank at Crawfordsville, died yesterday morning at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was 56 and had served on the bank’s board of directors since 1977.
 
Born in Boone County, he was the son of James Roy and Georgia (Carothers) Kincaid.  He was married Dec. 30, 1951, at Thorntown to the former Jo Booher, who survives.
 
Kincaid served on the board of directors of Ben Hur Life Association and was past president of the Lafayette chapter of the American Institute of Banking.  He was also vice president of the Region 4 Indiana Bankers Association.
 
A member of First United Methodist Church of Crawfordsville, he also held memberships in the Elks Lodge, American Legion and 40 & 8.
 
He was a member and past president of Crawfordsville Rotary and Country clubs.
 
Kincaid graduated from Thorntown High School in 1947 and attended Hanover College.  A graduate of Indiana College of Mortuary Science, he was also graduated from the University of Wisconsin Bank Administration Institutes School of Banking.
 
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his mother, Georgia Rosenbury, Lebanon; a son Donald of Denton, Tx.; a daughter Elizabeth Bowlin, Indianapolis; a brother Donald “Jake” Kincaid, Lebanon; a sister, Rebecca Martin of Arvada, Colo.; one grandchild and one stepgrandchild.
 
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, with the Rev. Lawrence Richard officiating.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-8 p.m. Sunday.  Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Crawfordsville.
