Dessie Dee Vansickle, 98 of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019.

She was born June 27, 1920 in Coatesville, IN, daughter of the late Verla Clarence and Blanche (McCarty) Truax. She married Marvin Bud Vansickle on May 24, 1941. He preceded her in death on May 16, 1991.

Dee is survived by her sons; John (Beverly) Vansickle of Waynetown, Raymond (Cathy) Vansickle of Brownsburg, Wayne (Betty) Vansickle of Whitestown, Larry (Erika) Vansickle of Germany, Francis (Judy) Vansickle of Lancaster, CA, Edwin Vansickle of New Ross, daughters; Carol Ford of Thorntown, Katrina (Jerry) Whiteside of Lebanon, Vera Vansickle of Bainbridge, Theresa (David) Smith of Poland, IN,  Karen Vansickle of Rockville, Debra Stone (William Roberts) of Lebanon and Patsy Lang of Lebanon, 31 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren, 39 great great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter at birth, sons; Ross Allen, Charles Dean and Kenneth, granddaughters; Angela Jean Bennington and Vera Michelle (Shelly) Pruett, brother; Floyd Allen Truax, sister; Pauline Cox, daughter-in-law; Suzanne (Duff) Vansickle, son-in-law; John Omega Ford and great-grandson; James Bubba Davis, Jr.

Family and friends will gather Friday, March 8, 2019, 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Strawmyer Drury Mortuary in Lebanon, IN. Dee will be laid to rest in the Fairview Cemetery, North Salem, IN.

Arrangements were entrusted to Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, IN and
