The following comment was submitted by Martha Maiden Randal, class of 1966:

Jimmy Dimitroff is a friend of Thorntown Basketball.  Jimmy attended the 2015 Alumni Banquet which was a big celebration of basketball – 100 years after winning the State Tournament.  He was one of several special guests – participated in a skit by the Class of 1965 – and shared that he LOVED being a ref at Thorntown High School – in the very gym where the banquet was held.  This was in the fifties – and he teased that Thorntown paid the refs BEFORE the game in case refs had to make a quick ‘escape’ after the game ended.
