Jack M. Dunbar

Jack M. Dunbar, 87, of Frankfort, Indiana and formerly of Thorntown, Indiana passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at his home in Frankfort, Indiana He was born in Boone County, Indiana, on April 23, 1929, a son of the late John M. Dunbar and Beatrice (Blacker) Dunbar.
Jack had attended Thorntown High School. He then joined the Indiana National Guard and served for eight years. 
He was married to Frances Carol (Allen) Dunbar on April 25, 1952. Mrs. Dunbar survives. 
Jack had worked as a production operator at the Chrysler Corporation in Indianapolis. He also served as a volunteer fireman on the Sugar Creek Fire Department for 26 years. 
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather. Jack enjoyed fishing, bowling and pitching horseshoes. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Thorntown, Eastern Star and Order of the Amaranth. 
Funeral Services are to be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Myers & Hunt Mortuary, 116 West Plum Street, Thorntown, Indiana.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Thorntown. 
Interment will follow services at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown, Indiana.

Deceased: In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by one grandchild, one great grandchild and one great great grandchild.
