Gary Allen Davis, 66, passed away Wednesday morning, March  22, 2017, at his home in Thorntown surrounded by his loving  family. He was born in Boone County, Indiana, on April 28,  1950, the son of the late Richard A. and Velma Pauline (Carter) Davis.

 A life-resident of Thorntown, Gary attended Thorntown High  School {Class of 1969.}

 On July 28, 1973, he was married to Holly D. (Buckingham)  Davis at the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Lebanon;  she survives.

 Gary began his working career at Alton Box Company in  Lebanon. He later went to work for Green Tree Elevator in  Thorntown where he spent 15 years. For the past 17 years,  Gary worked for the maintenance department at the Boone  County Courthouse and Boone County Health Department.

 A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Gary loved his  family. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, woodworking,  remote control airplanes, model cars, and most of all, his  Harley Davidson motorcycle.

 Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2017, from 2:00  to 6:00 p.m., at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street,  in Lebanon, Indiana. Funeral Services are planned for 10:00  a.m., Monday, March 27, 2017, at the funeral home in  Lebanon, with Rev. Glen Jewell, officiating. Interment will  follow services at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown,  Indiana.
