Surrounded by her loving family, Suzette Lee Stockton, 61, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.

Suzette was born Jan. 17, 1953, in Lebanon, a daughter of Carolyn Sue (McRoberts) Smith and the now late Calvin Leo Smith.

A lifelong resident of Boone County, she attended grade school in Elizaville and graduated from Thorntown High School in 1972. Following high school, she attended Beauty College in Indianapolis.

In June 1999, she was married to Charles W. “Buster” Stockton in Lebanon; he survives.

Suzette worked for many years as a secretary and bookkeeper for Steve Smock’s Home Furniture store in Lebanon. Prior to that she had worked at Carpet Land in Indianapolis, as their bookkeeper.

Having a talent for crafts, Suzette enjoyed crocheting and quilting. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and loved going on adventures with her grandson, Logan.

Suzette was a member of Elizaville Baptist Church, and the Lebanon Moose Lodge.

Survivors include her husband, Charles W. “Buster” Stockton of Lebanon; mother, Carolyn Sue Smith of Lebanon; two children, Charles (Susan) Stockton Jr. of Frankfort and Trisha (David) Black of Lebanon; stepdaughter, Jessica Stockton of Whitestown; grandson: Logan Black of Lebanon; stepgrandchildren, Jake Taylor of Whitestown, and T.J. Swisher and J.J. Cocttrell, both of Frankfort; sister, Karin Kay (Rob) Knox of Lebanon; and nephew, Justin Knox of Thorntown.

Suzette was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Sara Ann Smith.
