Michael R. Warren, 57, of Lafayette, died at 1:07 p.m. Monday, May 31, 2010, at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis, after a 13-year battle with leukemia. 
Born Aug. 25, 1952, in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Asa C. and Catherine E. Sharp Warren. He attended Indiana University. 
On March 2, 1973, he married Cindy Galeener in Frankfort, and she survives. 
Mr. Warren worked as a finish inspector for 27 years at Alcoa before retiring in 2001 due to medical reasons. 
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and enjoyed working on computers, bird watching, nature and spending time with his granddaughters and family. 
Surviving with his wife are two sons, Joseph J. Warren (wife: Rachel) of Frankfort and Michael R. Warren Jr. of Whitestown; and a sister, Judith Lee Duren (husband: Bernie) of Fredricksburg, Va. 
Also surviving are 2 granddaughters, Aurora S. and Anne G. Warren; and an aunt, Mildred Harlos of Lebanon. Michael was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Warren. 
Visitation 6-8 p.m. today, June 2, 2010, at Grace Lutheran Church and again an hour prior to the service at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Grace Lutheran Church, Pastor Ed Morrow officiating. Interment will follow at Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort. Those wishing may contribute to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
