Roger Hinton - Class Of 1970


Mr. Roger L. Hinton, 66, of Lebanon, passed away December 31, 2018, at IU Health, Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on April 21, 1952 in Crawfordsville, Indiana, a son of the late Delbert and Irene (Alexandra) Hinton.

Roger was a 1970 graduate of Thorntown High School.

On December 15, 1974 he was married to Debra S. (Smith) in Thorntown; she survives.

Roger worked as a forklift operator in the shipping department over 32 years at Pace Dairy Foods in Crawfordsville, retiring in 2013. Roger also worked for Farm Bureau Co-Op in Lebanon.

He was an avid auction attender and had an antique booth on Main Street Shoppes in Westfield with his daughter. He loved his 1950 Ford truck “Old Jackson”, never missed a sporting or school function for his daughter and grandkids. He had a lifelong passion working on vintage cars, especially the Ford Model T and Model A. Roger was full of life, spunky and never met a stranger.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana. No Services are planned.
Boone County Crematory has been entrusted with his care.
