Chuck Hitch - Class Of 1964

Charles "Chuck" Hitch

Charles “Chuck” Hitch, 69, of Stilesville, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015. Chuck was born Dec. 31, 1945, to the now late William and Irene Hitch. He grew up in Thorntown, and graduated from Thorntown High School in 1964.

For four years, Chuck was in the Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War. After his stint in the Navy, Chuck graduated from Indiana Business College with an accounting degree. He spent his career as an accountant, and retired from JDR Solutions.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Patty, to whom he had been married for 48 years. They have two sons, JT (Jennifer) and Mike (Mindy); with grandchildren, Kendall and Christian, and another due in October. Chuck is also survived by his only sibling, Carolyn Hitch Carney.

While Chuck’s first love was supporting his wife and children, his passion for horses closely followed. He enjoyed all aspects of riding, roping, and showing horses.

True to Chuck’s selfless nature, he requested no services be held. However, donations can be made in Chuck’s name to The Children’s TherAplay Foundation that specializes in hippo-therapy. Donations can be made online at www.childrenstheraplay.org, or checks can be sent to Children’s TherAplay, 9919 Towne Road, Carmel, IN 46032.
