Mr. Donald Ray Veach, 67, of Indianapolis, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012.
Mr. Veach was born Jan. 27, 1945, in Boone County. He was a 1963 graduate of Thorntown High School.
He was retired.
Mr. Veach was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a Vietnam veteran, and a recipient of two Purple Hearts. He was a member of Eagle Church, Zionsville.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Pam Bennett.
Survivors include his wife, Bonita Greenlee Veach; children, Donna (Tom) Strickland, Michelle (Bob) Griffeth, Nichole (Rick) Hatfield and Andrew (Renee) Veach; stepson, Thomas Reyes; sisters, Patricia (Gordon) Stout and Brenda (Walter) Bray; brother, Rick Veach; 14 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at Flanner and Buchanan-Speedway, 2950 N. High School Road, Indianapolis. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
