Jerry Susong passed away Wednesday March 10, 2010, in Frankfort. He was surrounded by his wife and children as he peacefully passed to the Lord.

Mr. Susong was born June 10, 1945, in Crawfordsville, Indiana, the son of Roy and Donnis (Fisher) Susong Meadows.

He is survived by his wife, Betty (Christy) Susong. They were married August 1, 1980 in Crawfordsville, Indiana.

He graduated in 1963 from Thorntown High School, Purdue University in 1967 and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University in 1973. He was an attorney in Thorntown for many years before moving to Tennessee. They moved to Hyannis, MA, where he practiced real estate law before returning to Tennessee and then returning to Frankfort where he practiced law and worked with his daughter-in-law at State Farm Insurance in Lebanon.

Jerry was a very loving family man and so enjoyed time and family gatherings with his children and grandchildren. He was always the " biggest kid " in the family and his home was always filled with love and laughter. He enjoyed gardening, had a constant flow of knowledge that he shared with everyone, quick wit and love for friends.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Jeff (Teresa) Susong of Lebanon, Brad (Maria) Susong of Fishers, Traci (Charles) Janzen of rural Lebanon, and Chad (Amy) Susong of West Barnstable, MA; 11 grandchildren, Kayla (John) Darling, Pasadena, TX, Amber Janzen, Alisha Susong, Britnay Susong, Caitlin Susong, Tyler Susong, Trevor Susong, Brooke Susong, Cooper Susong, Andrea Alarcon and Joshua Senprun; 2great-grandchildren, Lillyanna and Madison Darling; stepfather Dennis Meadows, Forest, IN; and brother-in-law Bill Christy, Thorntown, IN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Ann Stokes.

A private memorial service will be held for his immediate family at Archer-Weston Funeral Home in Frankfort, with his cousin, Jim Padgett officiating.

Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery, Frankfort.
