Ed Kinslow - Class Of 1963

Mr. Edward Reid Kinslow, 77, of Thorntown, Indiana, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born January 16, 1945, in Frankfort, Indiana, a son of the late W. Edward A. Kinslow and Anna Loureide (Cooksey) Kinslow. On August 15, 1964, he was married to Charlotte Ann (Dale) Kinslow in Thorntown, Indiana; she survives. Edward was a 1963 graduate of Thorntown High School. In 1965, he began working for Chrysler Corporation in Indianapolis. Edward retired in 1998 working quality control from the Kokomo facility. He loved his family dearly. He enjoyed being in the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, bird watching, and tending to his vegetable garden. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Kinslow of Thorntown; four children, Laura (Jay) McCoy of Thorntown, Lance (Ann) Kinslow of Noblesville, Amy (Jim) Honchell of Greentown, and Cheri (Chad) Hartwick of Cicero; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers, William (Brenda) Kinslow of Lebanon and Earl (Alice) Kinslow of Kokomo; sisters, Ruby Ann Goins of Florida and Carol Kinslow of Lebanon; sister-in-law, Janet Kinslow of Thorntown; brother-in-law, Carlos “Peanut” Tyree of Thorntown; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by a brother, Windell Kinslow, and a sister, Marylene Tyree. Private Funeral Services are planned at the Myers & Hunt Mortuary in Thorntown, Indiana. Boone County Crematory has been entrusted with his cremation following services.
