Madge Puckett (Wethington) - Class Of 1959

Mrs. Madge Wethington, 67, of Thorntown, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mrs. Wethington was born in Lebanon Dec. 4, 1941. She was the daughter of the late James D. and Naomi (Taylor) Puckett.
Mrs. Wethington was a life-long resident of Thorntown and a 1959 graduate of Thorntown High School. She worked as a secretary for Richardson, Munson & Wear Architects of Indianapolis for 25 years, until her retirement in 2002.
She was married in Lebanon on Dec. 26, 1959, to George Wethington. Mr. Wethington survives.
Madge was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed her summers in Indiana and winters in Arizona with her husband. She was a member of St. Christopher’s Catholic Church in Speedway.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, Mr. George Wethington of Thorntown, include three children, Catherine Nathman and husband, Edward of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Scott Wethington of Indianapolis, and Brent Wethington and wife, Melissa of Indianapolis, and a brother, Stanley Puckett and wife, Sue of Carmel, Indiana. A sister, Norma Puckett, died in infancy.
Family memorial services will be held later in the year and will be announced.
