Janet Ann (Fairfield) Osborne, 77, of Thorntown, Indiana, passed away Friday night, August 17, 2018, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. She was born at home in Thorntown, on September 11, 1940, the youngest of eight children to the late Roy and Bessie (Veach) Fairfield.

On February 28, 1976, she was married to Denny E. Osborne in Thorntown; he survives.

A life-long resident of Thorntown, she graduated from Thorntown HighSchool Class of 1958. She had worked as the custodian of the Presbyterian Church for 30 years and was a member of the Moose Lodge for over 40 years. Janet loved playing Bingo, listening to music, cooking and baking for her family.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by a son, Farrel Strong; a step-son, Roy Jamerson; one grandchild; two brothers, Wilbur Padget and Lawrence Fairfield; and four sisters, Lela Lewis, Mary Eaton, Esther Faucett, and Opal Osborne.

Funeral Services are planned for 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at the Myers and Hunt Mortuary, 116 West Pearl Street, in Thorntown, Indiana.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home in Thorntown.
Interment will follow services at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown.
