Leon Price - Class Of 1956

Leon Raymond Price, 83, passed away on November 2, 2019 at the Waters of Lebanon. He was born in Thorntown, Indiana, on January 23, 1936; a son of the late Haven and Margaret (Trapp) Price.

He was a graduate of Thorntown High School. Following high school he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps, where he bravely served our country. He was married to Matilda F. (Shirley) Hawkins and later divorced.

Leon worked at Chrysler Casting Plant in Kokomo, Indiana for a dedicated thirty-two years.

In his spare time, Leon loved fishing, hunting, but most of all visiting with all of his friends and family. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

Brothers: Glenn Argyle (Marilyn) Price of Greenfield, Tennessee
Max (Barbara) Price of Sullivan, Indiana

Sisters: Virginia Locklear of Indianapolis
Sue Miller (Pat McGinley) of Lebanon

Sisters-In-Law: Judy Price of Lebanon, Indiana
Beatrice Price of Media, Pennsylvania

Six Grandchildren: Danielle (Phil) Lewis, Ty (Brittany) Wolfla, Jessica Burns, Nick Smith, Tanner Smith and Wesley Martin.

Five Great Grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Leon is preceded in death by brothers, Ken Price, Ed Price (Leon’s twin), and Don Price; sister, Patty Courval; brother-in-law, Hap Locklear.

Visitation will take place Friday, November 8 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, IN 46052.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2019 at the funeral home in Lebanon.

Inurnment of ashes with military rites will follow services at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown.
