Donald Keith Allen

Don was born Oct. 25, 1931, in Thorntown, a son of the late Claude and Eva Mae (Fisher) Allen. He graduated from Thorntown High School, and then served his country honorably in the U.S. Marines. On Mar. 6, 1955, he married LaDonna Lou (Peters) Allen; she survives and they shared 66 years together.

Don worked for Chrysler Corporation in Kokomo for 30 years, as a cutter grinder. He attended the Lighthouse Baptist Church. In his 80’s, he roofed their house and painted the family barn; he still did all of the mowing up to when he was 89 years old. Don loved God, enjoyed doing work on the church buses many years ago, was a great carpenter, and all-around fix-it man
