Janet Gant Marlatt

There were two Janet Gants in THS at the same time and an incident this past week reminded me that some of you may get confused.. I am Janet E. Gant and she was Janet K. (cousins)..I received some of her birthday wishes... lol which was nice, but my birthday is Nov 30th...Just an FYI

I chased a mouse down the stairs at the old Thorntown School... had to sit in the cloak room where I looked thru the iron grid for most of the day... lol
I was reading Linda Fairfields comments in this category and it brought to mind a memory I have of Mrs Leonard's sewing class.. we were supposed to make a jumper.. with an elastic waistband... I was doing such a lousy job (never did learn to sew) the stitches were terrible... I wanted to rip it out before she saw it but I couldn't, so I sewed the jumper onto the skirt I was wearing so I had to take them out.. Mrs Leonard was so disgusted with me... It's funny to me now but it sure wasn't then.. she was a force not to be messed with...lol
