Class of '60 - 50th Reunion

The most famous of all THS classes, the class of 1960, had their 50th Reunion on May 7th and 8th of 2010.  All the men were strong and all the women were handsome.  We had a great time, beginning with a great evening meal at Stookey's on Friday night.  Saturday activities included attending the 97th Alumni Banquet at the old high school (see photos) at which we were honored as not only as the class celebrating their 50th reunion but as the premier class of all time (author's editorial license).  On Saturday evening, we gathered at the Sugar Creek Art Center for a wonderful meal and an enticing, exotic presentation by our own Jan Gibbs Kersey.  Prizes during the evening included a several Rolex watches, a new Rolls Royce convertible, a vacation home on Maui and a woopie cushion.  For IRS purposes, the winners of the prizes will not be mentioned except to say this author was the receipient of the woopie cushon.

Unbeknownst to all, this author conducted a political correctness contest to not only identify the most politically correct behavior of the event but also the faux paux of the event.  The winners were:

Faux Paux - 1st Place   A charming, Boston bred, left coast spouse was heard to say about the photo of a certain classmate, "Boy, he WAS hot!"  The obvious emphasis on WAS implied the classmate might no longer be hot.  The classmate was deeply hurt.

Faux Paux - 2nd Place  Anything Ed Shelley said.

Politically Correct - 1st Place  A certain classmate did not mention that a certain left coast spouse may have one ear significantly larger than the other.

Politically Correct - 2nd Place Everything Sue Timmons said.
