Charles “Butch” Dale, 61, of Lebanon, died Sunday, June 5, 2011.
“Butch” was born May 26, 1950, to the now late Charles L and Bonnie L. (Reagan) Dale.
He graduated from Thorntown High School in 1968, and on Oct. 13, 1978, he married Cheryl E. Brennan; she survives.
“Butch” worked at Wrecks Inc. for more than 20 years and most recently worked for IBEW No. 481. He loved animals and was always tinkering with things.
Other survivors include children Travis (April) Vance of Avon, Christopher Vance of Lebanon and Ryan Dale of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; siblings, Charlotte (Eddie) Kinslow of Thorntown, Janet (Dave) Schwartz of Indianapolis and Jim (Dianne) Dale of Lebanon.
He also was preceded in death by a sister and a daughter. Family and friends will gather from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon Wednesday, in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. “Butch” will be laid to rest in the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society for Boone County, 107 S.
