Julia G. Richardson

— Mrs. Julia G. Richardson, 62, of Venice, Fla., formerly of Lebanon, passed away Monday, May 31, 2010.

Mrs. Richardson graduated from Thorntown High School, received her undergraduate degree from Purdue University and received her master’s degree from Butler University.

She was employed by the Boone County Clerk’s Office and the Boone and Montgomery County welfare departments, before retiring to Venice in 1991.

Mrs. Richardson was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Venice, a member of Psi Iota Xi social sorority in Lebanon, and was a longtime member of the American Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary.

Preceded in death by her parents, Isaac “Ike” Gregg and Elizabeth “Bea” (Hardy) Gregg, she is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Teresa) Susong of Lebanon, Jerri (Rick) Mittman of Fishers, and Jamie (Doug) Boxler of Westfield; grandchildren, Tyler and Trevor Susong, Bailie and Reed Mittman and Madelyn, Teagan and Sawyer Boxler; and a sister, Mary Jo Huber of North Port, Fla. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 12, at Thorntown United Methodist Church, 201 N. Market Street, Thorntown.

Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, has been selected to care for arrangements.
