Max Alvin Price

1933 – 2020

“Coach” Max Alvin Price, 86, went into God’s loving arms on Friday, April 10, 2020. He was born on October 8, 1933 in Thorntown IN, to Margaret (Trapp) Price and Haven C Price. He served in the Marine Corp, was a graduate of Purdue University, and  received his masters at ISU.  He coached at Pinnell, Ladoga and in Dugger and Christian Schools in Hammond IN, Pomona CA, and Oklahoma City OK.  He pastored in Los Angeles, Texas, and Indiana. He continued his ministering in many foreign countries. Preceding him in death are his parents, his wife, whom he married in  October 1953, Barbara (Sallee) Price, a son Mark David Price, and several brothers and sisters.

Survived by his children, Sheila Kay Price Simpson and her husband David Simpson, Dawn Michelle Price Babbitt and her spouse John Babbitt, Rodney Alvin Brent Price and his spouse Tammi Price, grandchildren Kyle Simpson, Kevin Simpson, Kristen Simpson Archer, Bradley Babbitt, Zachery Babbitt, Logan Price, step grandchildren,  Andy Hotzan, Keith Vizinat, Haley Vizinat, 13 great grandchildren, a brother Glen Argyle Price, sisters Virginia May Price Lochlear, Sue Ann Miller.

Services to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.  Private family services are planned. Burial will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown IN.  He is loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
