Frances Allen (Dunbar) - Class Of 1952

Frances Carol Dunbar, 83, formerly of Frankfort and Thorntown, Indiana passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon. She was born in Boone County, Indiana, on December 28, 1933, a daughter of the late Claude Elsey and Eva Mae (Fisher) Allen.

On April 25, 1952, she was married to Jack M. Dunbar. Mr. Dunbar passed away December 10, 2016. 

Frances was a longtime resident of Thorntown and a 1952 graduate of Thorntown High School. She had worked for a number of years at the Garment Factory and also for Mallory’s.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, she loved her family dearly. Frances enjoyed reading, needlework, and bowling. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Order of the Amaranth.

Robin (Dave) Glass – Lebanon, Indiana

Anna (companion, George) Batts – Thorntown, Indiana

In addition to her parents and her husband, Frances was preceded in death by one grandchild; one great grandchild; one great great grandchild; two brothers, Carter Allen and Bob Allen; and a sister, Mary Higer. 

Funeral Services are to be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Lebanon. 
Interment will follow services at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown, Indiana.
