Mr. Stephen Paul “Speedy” Davis, 68, passed away Thursday evening, August 17, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Clinton County, Indiana, on September 8, 1948 a son of the late Paul M. and Jean M. (Sheets) Davis. 

On October 27, 1974, he was married to Judy D. (Campbell) Davis in Mechanicsburg, Indiana; she survives. 

Early in his life, Steve attended schools in Clinton County and then graduated from Thorntown High School in 1966. Following school, he was enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served his country honorably. 

Steve retired from Alcoa in Lafayette after 35+ years of employment working as an extruder. 

He took great pride in his family and thought the world of his sons and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and loved watching football, always rooting for the Colts and IU. Steve could often be seen during his afternoon drives around town. His memberships included, the Colfax VFW, Eagles, and County Line Fishing Club.

Brad Davis and wife, Sarah – Noblesville, Indiana

Funeral Services are planned for 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St. in Lebanon, IN.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the funeral home in Lebanon.  Interment with military rites will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Thorntown.
