Bob Russell

Robert Allen Russell, 77, of Ellenton FL, passed away December 24, 2021, after a short illness. He was born April 11, 1944 in Thorntown, IN to the late Lewis (Sod) Russell and Mary (McKinley) Russell. Robert was class president of his 1962 class. He loved playing basketball during his school years and was also a lifelong Chicago Cub fan. He was a retired veteran after serving 20 years in the USAF and was very proud of his service.

In 2015, Robert and his wife of 30 years moved from Ohio to Florida, where he enjoyed the weather and social activities especially Trivia.

He is preceded in death by brother William (Bill) and stepmother, Hilda Russell. Robert is survived by his wife of 30 years, Cosetta (Jane),  son, Jeff (Chris), daughter, Erica, brother James (Jimmy), sisters, Patricia Guest and Margaret Beesley, two stepsons, three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Robert will be laid to rest at Northlawn Memory Gardens in Westerville, Ohio.

Sandra Witte (Taylor) (1962)

Rest in Peace! Bob was very good in sports. I remember him most for playing basketball. It seemed like he always had a smile on his face. I am sure you will be well remembered.
