Lova Kay Evans (Dye) - Class Of 1959

LOVA K. (EVANS) DYE – December 11, 1941 – June 29, 2019

Mrs. Lova Kay (Evans) Dye, 77, of Lebanon, passed away June 29, 2019, at Hoosier Village in Zionsville.

Lova was born Dec. 11, 1941, in Thorntown, one of four daughters of the late Harold and Margaret (Bowen) Evans. She married James “Jim” Dye on Dec. 9, 1962. He survives.  

Lova worked as a nurse, beginning her career at Witham Hospital, and then later working for Methodist Hospital. She enjoyed reading and gardening.  Lova’s family was truly special to her, especially her grandchildren. She was a part of the Wednesday Elks Dinner Club.  Lova graduated from Thorntown High School with the Class of 1959.

Survivors include her loving husband, Jim Dye of Lebanon; daughters, Maria Keesee of Lebanon and Michelle (Theron) Reichard of St. Petersburg, FL; sisters, Clara Lee (Evans) Parsons of Southport and Patty (Evans) Yates of Thorntown; and grandchildren, AJ (Austin), Connor, and Mary Margaret Keesee. Lova was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Sue “Susie” (Evans) Maiden and grandson, Lucas Keesee. 

Family and friends will gather Wednesday, July 3, 2019, for a Celebration of Life from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
