Linda Riley Corwin, 68

Linda Kay Corwin, 68, of Lafayette, died at 11:02 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at her residence.

On November 15, 1986, she married Thomas E. Corwin, Sr., and he survives.

Born May 29, 1941, in Thorntown, she was the daughter of the late Abner and Charlotte Johnson Riley.

Mrs. Corwin had worked at the garment factory in Thorntown, Central Lab, Essex Wire, as a cashier and as a waitress at Sarge Biltz.  she enjoyed decorating cakes, crocheting, bingo, yard sales and spending time with her family.

Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Teresa Dye Wilson (companion: Charlie Homan) of Otterbein, Beverly Dye Turner of Lafayette; two sons, Wayne Dye (wife: Kristy) of Lafayette and Tom Corwin Jr. (wife: Chris) of Oxford, two stepdaughters, Mary Sue Turner (husband: Bill) of Lafayette and Jan Ewalt (husband: Don) of San Antonio, TX and a sister, Rosemary Strong of Lebanon.

Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and son-in-law Darrell Shubrick.  Linda was preceded in death by a daughter, Benda Shubrick; a grandaughter, Kelsey Corwin; a sister, Beverly Stockton; and 2 brothers, Abner Junior Riley and Russell Riley.

Visitation will be 5pm to 8pm, Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel with funeral service at 10 am, Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckerham Blvd., the Rev.
